Organic SEO is Worth the Time

organic-search-semTo understand the benefits of Organic SEO we must first understand what Organic SEO is in the first place. Like any aspect of Search Engine Optimization and Marketing there are opposing schools of thought about what is good and what is bad when it comes to trying to optimize websites but everyone that is involved with SEO will agree that Organic SEO is certainly worth the time. SEO is any optimization done to your website using methods that don’t involve any attempt to manipulate the rankings (this includes buying links, reviews, etc.). An example of Organic SEO would be a website that publishes a unique story about baseball, their readers find the story and enjoy the story enough to provide a link to said story from the readers’ own website. This is a quality link because the link itself is gained in a natural, organic way.

The main key to Organic SEO is content, content, content. The better the content of your website the more probability you will have for attracting a loyal visitor base who will be truly interested in the content your website provides. A site with quality content will get the links it deserves and those links are interpreted by the search engines as a sign of importance and the search engines will increase the listing position of the linked website.

When comparing Organic SEO to “Forced” SEO (sometimes referred to as Blackhat SEO) the differences are clear as day. Of course you can manipulate the search engines by buying links from other sites in an effort to boost your search engine position but the search engines (Google in particular) are no dummies. If they discover your site uses BlackHat SEO your site is sure to get dinged or worse, delisted. Organic SEO takes more effort and the results come a little slower but in the long run it is quite worth it. A site that uses Organic SEO to increase their rank will maintain that rank and their visitor base long after the BlackHat Site is gone from the Interwebs..Yes the Interwebs.
