Hey folks! Back at it…so I have been thinking (yes, I do that now!) and I realized that I do not write too many “blogs”. My posts are usually tutorials and strategies to help you in your quest for search engine result page(s) dominance. Nothing wrong with that. But right now, I would like to just talk about some general things to keep in mind when thinking about hiring a SEO. We have a lot of clients come to us and say they have been through the ringer before. EVERYTIME they don’t get the results they want, it is because they just didn’t know any better. Well, let’s just clear the air and talk on a non-bias level. I am going to pretend for a minute that I no nothing of Internet Marketing or why ranking high on search engines is important.
The first thing I am going to ask myself is, “how much is it going to cost me to rank high on Google?“. Maybe it is because I am not a wealthy man, but I think most people think that way as well. I would then try to find some deals, specials or out source to India
What I do not realize in my attempt to save money is that I am sacrificing the quality of the results. If you pay someone $300 for a job that would cost $3,000…do you think that you are really getting that good of a deal? NOOOOO WAY JOSE. It would be like going to a infant, instead of a master carpenter, to build a house. You just wouldn’t do it. Right there, I fail in the beginning of my attempt to hire a SEO.
Next thing I am going to do is expect overnight results. Ummm, SORRY! That will be as likely as pig flying. This doesn’t happen overnight. Little did I know that if I had hired a solid SEO in the beginning I would be well aware of the time and effort it will take in order to achieve high rankings. Wow, I wish someone told me!
So, after those two screw up’s I am going to be forced to spend some more money, what am I going to do? FIND A PROFESSIONAL. If you think about a marketing plan, why isn’t SEO highlighted and underlined? It is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A MARKETING PLAN TODAY. After all, search queries are the 2nd most performed activity on the internet (2nd to email). Why would I not want to take advantage of that kind of power? Seriously!! Folks, all I am saying to you is really go out and do some research, demand to see results and really get to know your SEO(s). It will pay in the long run.
Thanks everyone!
