In our first video here, Matt Cutts, Googles head engineer on the web spam team will help explain some advanced search queries. On average people are searching with shorter queries, therefore, I figure that eventually this kind of stuff will be common knowledge. As SEO’s- Rick and I CONSTANTLY use quieries like this, in fact, Rick actually authored an internationally known book called Relevant Link Finder Pro (link is to a free download because we never use these methods anymore- kind of an archive document) that contains some info for you do it yourselfers. So without further yip yap…here’s the video:
So yea, yea, yea…that’s all cool I already know what that is all about. What’s new? Well…did you guys check out Caffine when it was rockin’ and rollin? Wellll…I did. It’s faster and you can tell if you have the eye for it…a quick way to find out if your query is being processed by the “caffine” datacenter will be the # in the URL. Check it out…most people will have no clue when it changes, but us as SEO‘s need to keep up on all this good stuff. So, here is the super cool video you can’t wait to watch…again….
Oh and BTW if you are wondering why the hell Matt didn’t say anything about YSLOW, it’s PROBABLY because YSlow is a fun Yahoo product. The guy who created was Steve Souders and I think he actually works at Google now, but I could be wrong.
